Why Denver dryer runs need a booster fan

The cause is run length plus elbows. Picture 20-35 ft basement joist-bay runs with three to five elbows in ranch and bungalow stock. Or vertical roof-terminated runs of two to three stories in townhomes, condos, newer infill. Every elbow adds equivalent length. The dryer's own blower was never sized for that. Thinner air at this elevation gives the same blower less mass to push. Cycles stretch to two or three rounds.

A booster fan is not a plug-in box. It mounts in rigid metal duct, downstream of the dryer. It has to stay reachable for cleaning. Some models trigger on duct pressure, others sense the dryer's current draw. Either way it needs a receptacle nearby.
